In my last post 5 Keys To Dating After Divorce For Dads, I mentioned that I would follow up with a post on the Do’s for when you decide to start dating after divorce.

I’m wondering do I write Dos or Do’s.

The spellcheck shows Dos which for someone that speaks Spanish or knows Spanish knows that this says dos as in the number 2.  (Dad Thought! cool)

Anyway I digress I’m just going to use Do.

Without further delay…

Let’s get to it.

Things Dads Should Do To Start Dating After Divorce The Right Way

So you made sure you are ready to get back into the dating scene since your divorce by making sure you got your mind right.

Made sure you got good hygiene.  Worked on your appearance.  Started working out to help you feel good about yourself.

And now you are noticing your self-esteem and confidence are on point.

So let’s get you back on the saddle known as the dating scene.

Things Dads Should Do To Start Dating After Divorce The Right Way

Do List

1a.) Go out with more than one person (No matter how perfect you think the first woman you go on a date is)

1b.) Go on more than one date

2.) It’s good to be picky also be realistic

3.) Try out dating sites (RRT = research, read reviews, and try all of them out)

4.) Control the date/Make the plans

5.) Keep the first date simple impress your date with you not with where you take her.

6.) Get out of your comfort zone and talk to every woman you are attracted to (Be polite, respectful, and use social etiquette)

7.) Remember it’s a numbers game (the more you talk to the better your chance for finding that diamond in the rough if that’s what you are looking for. My grandmother taught me that)

8.) Have things to talk about but….

9.) Let her do most of the talking

10.) Make a video call before you meet (to lower your chances of getting catfished or you catfishing her lol)

11.) Plan more than one date on the same day (two different people) this is a good way to test a person and it shows you are serious and have options. (We all know women have options)

12.) Do an instant second date at a new location if things are going good but remember if it’s the first person you go out with don’t forget the first point.

13.) Take your time (Rome wasn’t built in one day)

14.) Do have a bar set for what you are willing to deal with.

15.) Be yourself!
