THE HURTFUL PART OF DIVORCE NO ONE TALKS ABOUT
Other than the divorce itself and what lead up to the divorce, one of the more hurtful consequences is the isolation from an extended family that you thought was there for you.
No matter how good or strong the relationship that you made with your in-laws one thing is true you lose that in the divorce too.
Well, that and the other thing being the feeling of being replaced so easily.
If you went through a divorce especially one that was the result of a spouse cheating, then I’m guessing that you’ve felt like I did at a point.
That feeling of you questioning your importance because saw how easy you were replaced.
By your ex, by their family, and maybe by kids involved.
I believe it’s a natural feeling especially when your kids, step-kids, and in-laws are now spending time with your ex’s new person.
Don’t let yourself fall into this hole.
Whatever you do, don’t give in to this thought process.
It’s not easy to get out of.
Worse is it can carry over to other areas in your life.
If you feel like you are easily replaced or expendable guess what??? “Self-fulfilling prophecy” you will be.
FINAL THOUGHTS
If you are going through a divorce due to cheating expect your family to eventually choose sides.
Blood is thicker than water.
So prepare and expect close relationships with your in-laws to change.
It’s not because you did or didn’t do something wrong it’s because families are supposed to have each other’s backs through thick and thin.
And NO ONE can replace you unless you are doing things that will make it easy for you to be replaced.
Don’t let anyone, anything, or any situation stop you from being the best you.
As always…
Be Great! Be You!
RISE & CLAW above it
And…
A.B.P. ALWAYS BE PROGRESSING!
