My Help Comes From The Lord
I will lift up mine eye unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and hearth.
Who needs help today? I do. My heart is heavy from what is going on in my country the United States and in this world.
It has its flaws but in my opinion, it is still the greatest country in the world. Of course, that is completely biased because I don’t know what it is like to live in any other country.
Just to be clear I wouldn’t bat an eye if someone from another country argued that their country is the greatest in the world. You should feel a sense of partiality in your homeland.
Recently I’ve felt lost and question what I can do to do my part for my country given the current events.
It’s demoralizing to see the state of some of our greatest cities being destroyed while our “leaders” are politicizing.
Our lives are the ones in danger. Black, white, Asian, or Hispanic if you are born in America you are an American.
We are America!
We need to pull together because we are “We The People”. Together We Stand, Divided We Fall.
Lives are on the line.
I know many others feel the way I do but just don’t know what to do. So I ask you to turn to my favorite chapter in the Bible Psalms 121.
1 I will lift up my eyes to the hills— From whence comes my help? 2 My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth. 3 He will not allow your foot to be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber. 4 Behold, He who keeps Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. 5 The Lord is your keeper; The Lord is your shade at your right hand. 6 The sun shall not strike you by day, nor the moon by night. 7 The Lord shall preserve you from all evil; He shall preserve your soul. 8 The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in from this time forth, and even forevermore.
If you need help remember your help comes from the Lord.

Heavenly Father, we thank you for your help and your guidance as we journey through these trying times. We know that you have everything in control and that you never slumber. God protect all of the innocent that are in the crosshairs of the enemy that only seek to steal, kill, and destroy. We ask these things in your name. Amen!
