Ego! Self-esteem, pride, character, or your psyche what do these all have in common?

They can be severely bruised or damaged in a divorce involving a cheating spouse.

Once those take the significant hit how do you keep believing in yourself?

Unfortunately, this is a question I had to learn to answer on my own…

And…

Fortunately, I am going to give you some insight.

How To Keep Believing In Yourself After Your Divorce

So look, I get it.

You’re down and you might have even lost your mojo.

Now you’re staring the divorced and single life right in the eye.

Guess what you can’t do? BLINK or FLINCH!

What you gotta do?  Punch the mofo in the face and let it know you won’t quit!

Why won’t you quit?  Because you are not defined by divorce but by the legacy you will leave for your kids.

Believing in yourself after divorce is for you as well as for your kids!

Be Realistic in Setting Believe in Yourself Goals

Set yourself up to succeed.  But still, push your limits!

You can set an overall goal but what incremental steps/goals will you take to achieve/attain that goal.

The steps in between are actually more important than the overall goal because hitting those goals build the belief in yourself and the confidence that you need to accomplish your big goal.

Why It’s Important to Believe in Yourself

Are you happy with yourself?  How’s your health?  Mental and physical?

If those are hot garbage, you’ll be hot garbage.

Spoken straight from someone that allowed himself to become hot garbage because of a divorce.

Doing this didn’t create things for me it helped in digging a deeper hole.

To be successful or to feel like we are winning, a huge part of that is believing in yourself.

What’s a common saying about believing in yourself?  Believe in yourself and anything is possible!

If you don’t believe you can lose weight, will you?

Believing that you are a failure will result in you failing either by admission or by omission.

FINAL THOUGHTS

Believing in yourself ain’t easy.  Especially when things are not going your way.

A huge part of living through a divorce or life after divorce once your spouse has cheated is learning to believe in yourself.

The betrayal you go through causes a catastrophic effect on your psyche, your ego, and your overall belief in yourself.

When you believe you will be better than ever and that you will come back better than ever you will.

You just have to stay focused and keep grinding to be better.

As always…

Be Great! Be You!
